Visual Deterrent.  Sharks have better eyesight than once thought - especially species that pose the most risk to us. Sharks rely on their good vision to scope out their prey when hunting

Shark Eyes Deterrents are designed to help reduce the risk of shark interactions using principles of biomimicry. However, no shark deterrent can ever provide a 100% guarantee that a shark will not approach or interact.

Sharks are powerful, unpredictable animals. While extensive field use and testing by commercial divers, fishers, and ocean professionals have demonstrated confidence in Shark Eyes, the ocean will always carry an element of risk.

Any human activity in the water near sharks should always be approached with caution and respect. Shark Eyes products are intended to act as a visual deterrent, reducing the likelihood of certain investigative or unprovoked “hit-and-run” encounters — but they do not eliminate risk entirely.

Will the tank cover fit my dive tank?

Yes – the cover is designed to fit standard 12L and 15L scuba cylinders.

Does it affect my buoyancy or tank performance?

Not at all. The cover is lightweight, streamlined, and doesn’t impact function or buoyancy.

Scuba Tank "shark Eyes"

Hello.
I recently purchased a Scuba tank cover at the boat show and fitted the cover to my tank today.
Please see attached photo.

The neoprene material is very good, and the cover fits the tank snuggly and is the correct length when fitted properly.

The big problem is the BCD strap which goes over the tank, aligns perfectly with the 'Shark Eyes" and therefore defeats the purpose as the strap covers the "eyes"

The "shark eyes" should be off center to the tank cover so the BCD strap does not clash with the "shark eyes"

I've had to pull the tank cover way down past the tank boot, so the BCD strap does not clash.

I suggest you offset the "shark eyes" from the center of the tank cover, so the eyes appear either above or below the BCD tank strap.

The other option is to supply a short length neoprene tank cover which is only long enough for the "shark eyes" and therefore this can be moved above or below the BCD tank strap.

As the neoprene fits snuggly there is no need to cover the entire tank with the fabric.

This would also reduce the cost substantially as you would only need a short piece of neoprene.
